New stuff 2009
For some time I have not been to happy with the sink arrangement in the bus. It was a bit too low when I washed things in it. It lead to a bit of back pain as I leaned forward. Also I ended up removing the massive clunker of a stove / oven that had been designed for houses along with the 56 litre two way fridge that had taken up a huge amount of space. I long ago converted the space where the fridge had been into a small desk. Now that I had a new smaller 3 way fridge in place, I needed a stove again. So I came up with a plan to put the stove on top of the fridge.
Initially I had a crazy idea of a separate bench top for the stove, and leaving the old sink how it was. Then one night I had a dream where I removed the big drawer from under the fridge, and after lowering the fridge, I'd have room to fit the new sink and stove on the one bench top. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a new bench top with cut outs and finally installed it all today. The bench top has a couple of hinges so I can lift it up to work on the plumbing if I have to.

Both the stove and the sink tops open to reveal the sink and stove. This makes them easy to keep clean, and I can use the bench space when they are not in use.
I've had this 12 volt range hood in place now for almost half a year. It has a powerful extraction fan and two not so powerful lights. I need to replace those LED globes as some of the LEDs have burned out.
The whole bench top can lift up so I can work on the plumbing if needed. I will use some flexible grey water hose to connect the sink outlet to the drain pipe.
I also have installed two of these new 69 LED bar lights which I ordered from eBay direct from China. They were about $29 Australian each. They have proven to be so good that I have ordered 4 more to replace some of he other existing lighting in the bus.
